This project answers a call from stakeholders during the dot.rural NRC Agenda Setting Stakeholder meeting for the application of digital technology for remote monitoring of our natural environment.

A review group is being established to communicate and liaise with stakeholders; their responses will inform and direct subsequent phases of research. Stakeholders will participate in selecting the test sites and understanding the impact and lessons learned by the project.

The James Hutton Institute (JHI) will be responsible for the ecological setting of the first scenario, lead by ecologist Dr. Scott Newey.

The research described here is supported by the award made by the RCUK Digital Economy programme to the dot.rural Digital Economy Hub; award reference: EP/G066051/1.
