Case Studies

Once the baseline interview study is complete, we will begin the next stage of the social research. We will be selecting 5 of the businesses we have worked with on the baseline study to carry out case study research with. In these case studies, the businesses will be provided with satellite broadband for approx. 2 and a half years, during which time we will work closely with them to explore the impact this has for their business. Given that we are working with creative industries, we expect to see a number of broadband-related behaviours which these businesses have not previously been able to engage in, for example:

We will be working closely with the businesses over the case study period to explore the impacts that satellite is having for their business. We will be considering these impacts not just from an economic point of view, but also in terms of the wider social and cultural context within which these businesses are placed.
